Fish Disease Diagnostics Web App
Concept: This application will allow (hopefully) farmers, or the public, to submit their disease problems that they would like diagnosed through the web. This use to be done by hand and faxed in. By having this form placed on the web it will not only allow for easier legiability for the technician, but will keep the information sotred in a database for future access.
Once the farmer hits “submit” a e-mail or some other way, is sent to the lab informing them of the submitted forms. …..Once the technican gets the form he/she has sheets that they need to fill out as well. I will incorporate these sheets into the technican’s view. Now they will be able to keep up with all the procedures that have been performed on a specified specmum. This makes life really simple if more than one technican will be wokring on the same project.
Once the lab results have been completed the technican will fill out the “completion” form for the fish. This will alos allow them to print out the results to send to the farmer. Once it is saved it is a complete record sorce inthe database.
This now makes reporting an extremely easy process. If all works right, they will jsut hit the time period, species, or what ever category is desired, and will print out the specified report. Now our technicans are not bogged down writing reports for several weeks and can focus on the farmer.
